Royals mercy the Bears after 5 with the help of Jordan Copes’ first pitching appearance in two seasons. Jordan went the distance, giving up only one earned run and striking out 6. Kevin Putkoven hit two homeruns, a grand slam and a 3-run jack. Scott Clouser reached and also scored all 5 plate appearances, including hitting two doubles. Shane Legare was a triple short of the cycle including a moonshot 2 RBI bomb that hit the top of the scoreboard. Dan Copes plated 4 runs, adding 2 hits. Jordan Copes went 2-3 including a double, 2 RBI and a run scored. Jesse Wilkinson had a tremendous game at the plate, heating up at the right time every year, going 2-2 with 2 RBI and a run scored.
