Recap

The Rockville Royals defeated the Chiefs 6-3 in a great battle between rivals.  For the Royals on the mound, Shane Legare gave up 2 in the top of the first, then settled in going 6 strong innings giving up only 1 run the rest of his day while striking out 3.  Bill Riggieri earned his first save of the season striking out one in his one inning of work.  For the Chiefs, Adam Malinowski had a strong start before running out of gas in the third.  Tyler Smith came on and gave up only one run in his two innings of work striking out 3.  Anthony Redamonti shut down the Royals in the bottom of the 6th striking out 3 while scattering two walks.  Offensively for the Royals, Bill Riggieiri and Scott Clouser both set the table, Riggieri going 2-3 and reaching base 3 times scoring a run and Clouser reaching all three plate appearances, chipping in 2 runs and a RBI.  Shane Legare was clutch again at the dish, going 2-3 with a double, run scored and 3 RBI.  Josh Svoboda has caught fire, going 2-2 with a double and run scored.  Dan Copes hit a key RBI single to continue his hitting streak.  For the Chiefs, Anthony Redamonti went 2-3 including a double.  Luke Sacharczyk hit a double and scored a run.  Tyler Dina hit a massive triple and later scored.  The veteran Steve Sadlak went 2-3 with a RBI and run scored.  Tyler Smith hit a double in his only at bat.
