Justine Cirone for the Devils went 7 strong innings in a win over the Rockies, holding them at bay through 5 until their bats erupted in the 6th and 7th innings. Ben Lopata had a day at the plate going 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and a stolen base. Desi Figueroa and Matt L’Italien both had doubles. On the defensive side for the Devils, team manager and future GHIBL Hall of Famer, Joel Figueroa put on a clinic at third base showing us signs of his gold glove days. For the Rockies, Nico Mollica, Tyler Gibbs, and Matt Ellis all had doubles. Chris Ryan made his GHIBL debut and pitched well in relief for the Rockies.
