Recap

The Rockville Royals beat the Wombats 7-3 in a comeback victory.  The Wombats got out to a 3-0 lead behind a RBI double by Allen Linares in the second inning, and a double by GHIBL legend Ronny Black, who scored on Norgie Castro’s RBI single.  Nate Luscombe then added a RBI single.  However, the Royals fought back.  After tieing the score 3-3 on a sacrifice fly in the 5th inning by Bill Riggieri, the Royals rallied for 3 more runs in the 6th.  Curtis Anthony had a key 2 RBI single, then Tim Field and Aaron Swahn added consecutive singles to pad the lead.  Overall for the Royals, Curtis Anthony had a great day adding 2 RBI and 2 runs.  Eric Rubelmann had a solid line, reaching base on all three plate appearances, with 2 runs scored, and getting the win on the mound in 3 scoreless innings with 4 strikeouts.  Aaron Swahn went 1-2 with a RBI.  For the Wombats, Chris Rivera and Ronny Black pitched well.  Rivera also went 2-3 helping his own cause.
